Mr. Herrmann taught at the high school level for seven years, the elementary level for three years, and has worked as a teacher trainer, instructional coach, college adjunct professor and independent consultant for the past eight years. He brings expertise as a consultant in Project GLAD and the SIOP Model, as well as a coach for teachers and schools in the areas of literacy and Response to Intervention (RTI).
Jennifer Koons has experience working with English learners in a variety of programs including Native Language, Structured English Immersion, English Language Mainstream and Dual Immersion. As her passion for Project GLAD in the classroom grew, Ms. Koons became a consultant for the Project GLAD National Training Center. She has trained many educators nationally and internationally. Ms. Koons currently works as a Teacher on Special Assignment for English Language Development and Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English to support middle school and high school teachers in Orange Unified School District, California. With over 10 years experience teaching with the Project GLAD model, Ms. Koons will serve as a consultant and trainer for the Idaho study.
